Front Crawl is most widely used of the four major swimming strokes, not only is the fastest and in many ways can be applied to other strokes for example backstroke can be viewed as freestyle Perform on your back. Freestyle relies heavily on the legs kicking and the arm pulling action. |
|
Firstly start off in a flat or streamline body position. Always keep at a streamline position. Outstretch one arm in front begins the pull with the elbow straight. The other arm begins its recovery by bending and lifting the elbow upward. The legs kick up and down in a fluttering kick.
Next, the outstretch pulling arm bend at the elbow,
as it begin to pulled under the body, the elbow is held high. When the
pulling arm reaches maximum elbow bend, as it passes under the shoulder
and chest. The other arm recovering enters the water directly in front
of the shoulder. Rotate the head to face the right side for breathing
(Inhalation through mouth), we usually do this when the pull of the
arms help head to surface easily. After inhale is taken, Place head back to its original position and
start exhale underneath (bubbling). Turn the arm to the alternate direction
again and repeat the whole 4 steps again. |
